Meet The Team

Heather is passionate about all things mountain biking!

She is the co-founder of several area NICA teams, including the Phoenixville Inferno High School Team, Inferno Composite Team, and Inferno East.
She also co-founded Mt Misery Sports Club MTB team along with her husband Christian Weirich, friends & mentors; Carryn Purdon and John Sonnstedt.

In 2020, she is co-founder the nonprofit; More Kids On Bikes 501 c3.

In 2022, MKOB, lunched the FORGE Bike Team, and in 2023, created and dedicated the Phoenixville Bike Park to the Borough of  Phoenixville.

In 2022, she received the NICA QBP Community Impact Award.

One of Heather's life passions is getting people of all ages outside, on the bike and under the sun.

Loves coaching as much as he loves mountain biking!

I started mountain biking on Long island within an incredibly supportive community, progressing to mountain bike racing in the local New England series as a category three racer. In that first season, I discovered how much I truly enjoyed racing and continued to pursue it in various forms, continuing to do so today. I’ve raced cross country, endurance, and ultra endurance mountain biking, as well as cyclocross and gravel and loved every single discipline. John and I introduced our kids to biking from a young age and today our 14-year-old son, 12-year-old daughter and eight year-old son love the sport we love.

She wants more kids (all people, really) to get excited about bikes so they can enjoy this awesome sport for a lifetime! Not only is Vanessa passionate about bikes, she loves her awesome family, snowboarding and assisting in wildlife rehabilitation."

I’ve been mountain biking since I was a teenager, loved teaching my four kids to ride bikes, and have been a mountain bike coach for 4 years.  All my favorite activities and best memories are in the outdoors.

 Dee has been coaching mountain biking to adults and children since 2017. Her favorite part of coaching is guiding others as they learn the fundamentals and begin their journey with Mountain Biking. She is also a coach trainer and race official for the PA league of NICA. For the past 5 years has been offering fundamental clinics and assisting intermediate/advanced clinics with Ninja MTB Performance.

Prior to discovering MTB, she raced road and cyclocross as the president of Sturdy Girl Cycling.

Coach Raven is a proud boy mom, IT professional, and lifelong outdoor adventurer with a deep passion for mountain biking. She’s been on two wheels since childhood and now channels that energy as a Level 3 NICA-certified coach. Entering her fourth year coaching with the Inferno and Vikings MTB teams, Raven brings experience, encouragement, and a signature dose of fun to every ride. Whether leading drills or cruising the trails in a tutu, she’s known for her vibrant, feminine spirit and commitment to making mountain biking an inclusive, empowering space for all riders.
